Developing a new software platform to run all back office and front end systems for an international event registration company is a large, multi-year, multi-phased undertaking. Join Karen Lewis, PMIEIC Member and the Director of Product Development at Convention Data Services, as she reviews the trial and error the teams went through before finding the best practices and software that brought the team success. Now entering year two of the project Karen will share roadblocks, processes, templates and management tips of this hybrid waterfall/agile product software project.

Karen Lewis is a leader with extensive experience in product development, event management and registration software systems. As the Director of Product Management at Convention Data Services, Karen leads a team of product managers, business analysts, UI/UX designers and a technical writer to launch new registration experiences for show managers, exhibitors and attendees. She brings industry best practices to her work and seeks to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders on new ideas. She has a passion for learning and is a certified Scrum Manager, Product Owner, Project Management Professional and Product Manager, having studied with the esteemed Silicon Valley Product Group.
