PMI Hardship Provision
PMI Hardship Provision
In these current economic times, we recognize that some of our members will find themselves in a set of changed financial circumstances. To that end, PMI would like to remind members about its ‘Hardship Provision that is available to all qualifying current members, in good standing.
PMI’s hardship provision is available to any PMI member whose financial condition has changed drastically and sufficiently so that a member would have difficulty renewing their membership. If your membership has been in good standing for at least three consecutive years, you may qualify for a hardship provision, designed to help those who are currently experiencing a financial hardship. If approved, you will receive a waiver for one year of PMI membership dues and one year of dues for membership in any two PMI chapters in which you held membership the previous year. The hardship provision may be granted for a maximum of two years for each member.
Details about this program are located on the back of the renewal invoice that all renewing members typically receive.
So that we can consider you for this hardship provision, please provide further details related to your current situation. Please reach out to PMI Customer Care by chat, phone, or email at membership.services@pmi.org. Please be sure to include a copy of your renewal invoice (if possible).
We encourage our members to renew their membership dues prior to their expiration date. If a member’s membership has expired for more than 10 months, we cannot renew your membership under guidelines of the ‘Hardship Provision’.
Please remember that any incorrect or untrue statements made by a member are in violation of the Project Management Institute Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and may lead to the initiation of an ethics complaint, including membership forfeiture and other penalties.
