I am not a Scientist: Executing Project Management with System Matter Experts (In-person only)
Project Management is used in most every industry and workplace. We all gather experience based on the focus of our job, roles needed, risks associated, language/acronyms etc. So, what do you do when you are looking to transition to a new industry, how far outside of your experience can you apply what you do successfully.
At Integrated DNA Technologies one of the common questions for project manager applicants or new hires is I don’t have a science degree; how can I manage a team creating new technology.
Join us at Integrated DNA Technologies in Coralville, get a tour of their main manufacturing facility and hear from some of their project managers on what they have learned about transitioning to a scientific organization where SMEs include Research Scientists and manufacturing experts for DNA, and other things only seen with a microscope.
