Program Details:
Genie Maybanks, Executive Director of Iowa Solar Energy Trade Association (ISETA) will talk about how they promote the growth of solar energy in Iowa through policy development, advocacy, education and networking. She will also share some examples of solar energy projects that they have worked in the Corridor.
Presenter Bio:
Genie Maybanks is a graduate of the University of Iowa in Geography with an emphasis in Environmental Health. She spent 18 years with the New Pioneer Food Co-op promoting the connection between food systems and health and recently shifted her focus towards cooking up ways for solving the climate crisis on a scalable level by promoting solar energy policy and education. She lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband and two young daughters.
