Program: Overview of UWECI and what they do in our community and Report Out of PMIEIC Hygiene Kits Social Good Efforts for United Way

Talent Triangle: Strategic and Business Management

Presenter: Karey Chase, MPA, Director of Community Impact, United Way of East Central Iowa

Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United Way of East Central Iowa serves five counties. In her role, Karey leads a team that sets the community led, strategic investment direction for the community with volunteer and philanthropic dollars. As a convener and collaborator, Karey and her team ensure that the community voice is heard and that interconnected needs have collective solutions.

The program includes:
- Overview of UWECI and what they do in our community
- Specific examples in the last year of how they used collaboration to yield results:
   - PATCH
   - Rent/Utility
   - Crisis Clean Up (debris clean up from derecho)

- Karey Will also report out the use of PMI Eastern Iowa's hygiene kits social good activities which will take place during the PMI Eastern Iowa Chapter's PDD on September 10, 2021.

Cancellation/Refund: Cancellations must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 5 to avoid being charged as a no-show for this chapter event.

To obtain a refund for a cancellation made before the deadline, please send a request to the VP of Finance. Please note your name, event, event date and payment amount in your e-mail.

Please note that since September 2018, due to PMI process change in reporting PDUs, we will not be reporting PDUs on behalf of members for Chapter Meetings. Members will have to claim PDUs on their own manually. We still plan to do this for yearly Professional Development Day (PDD). Please refer to the link for more information.
